Nancy's love for art began long before she began her career in art some forty years ago. She chose to share the joy she found in art as an art educator for twenty of those years, while continuing to work in her own studio throughout that time. Her usual subject matter is still life--plants and flowers for the most part--although she also produces landscapes and portraits at times. Nancy's recent focus has been on looking closely at everyday scenes -- vegetables at a farmer's market, a bush in the yard, the light playing on one bloom-- and giving viewers a heightened awareness of the beauty to be found in the ordinary objects around us.
